Curriculum Development
Tom has developed a comprehensive, competitive based soccer curriculum while adopting the Canadian Sport for Life Long-Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD). This model has been broken down into phases/stages depending on the chronological age of the child.
The curriculum is designed for U5-U19 players while covering the four pillars of modern day coaching.

1) Technical Expertise
2) Tactical Awareness
3) Mental Toughness/Resiliency
4) Physical/Psychosocial Capabilities

Each age group has been assigned a specific phase within the stages of the player development pathway:

U5-U6 - Stage 1 - "The Active Start"
U7-U9 - Stage 2 - "The Fundamentals"
U10-U12 - Stage 3 - "Learning to Train"
U13-U15 - Stage 4 - "Training to Train"
U16-U18 - Stage 5 - "Training to Compete"
U19+ - Stage 6 - "Training to Win"

Throughout the curriculum, the four pillars of modern day soccer coaching are addressed in order of importance. Included is a competency based coaching diagram which explains the ages at which players should have mastered each soccer based skill. Evaluations, age group recommendations and much more is included.
